If the number of confirmed cases counted until midnight is included, it is expected that the number will be around 800 yesterday alone.



The last time the number of confirmed cases exceeded 800 was January 7, this year, when the third pandemic peaked.



The spread is particularly severe in the metropolitan area.



In Seoul, 372 new confirmed cases were confirmed by 9 pm last night, surpassing the record for the most daily confirmed cases this year, even before the total counting was completed.



As the number of confirmed cases increases significantly, the government will conduct a special quarantine check in the metropolitan area for two weeks from tomorrow.



According to the new social distancing reform plan, it is subject to intensive crackdown on whether or not to comply with the rules for gatherings of no more than 6 people.



Gyeonggi-do conducts pre-emptive inspections once a week for workers in entertainment facilities or private institutes where there are many confirmed cases.



The government will apply the 'one-strike-out' system to immediately impose fines and bans on businesses that violate the rules.



In the case of municipalities with repeated violations, restrictions may be imposed on the entire industry.



In addition, Gyeonggi Province announced that it would consider a plan to first inoculate workers in high-risk facilities, such as private institutes, with the amount of vaccine that will be allocated for autonomous vaccination by local governments at the end of next month.
