In the district of Arganzuela,

an area of Legazpi

is known as

Barrio de los Metales

in which most of its streets are named after metal (bronze, anthracite, rhodium ...).

It is an area of new buildings in which a good number of restaurants have proliferated in recent years, of those that we usually call neighborhoods but that, little by little, have been transcending among the gourmets of the capital.

In some, the waiting list to eat is already months ...

Ether

Flirty little table in the Èter dining room.

It opened its doors in February 2020 and in just a year and a few months this restaurant has become the Madrid dining room that everyone wants to know. Èter is the gastronomic project of the Tofé brothers (Sergio, in cocia; Mario, in the dining room and cellar), two well-trained young men, but far from the most popular culinary circuits. Their bet is a seasonal and traveling cuisine, where with national ingredients they transport diners to other places. But without fusion, with a lot of learning techniques, processes ... Their dishes are exciting, such as cauliflower in tempura with roasted sweet potato cream and mole poblano. Pure expression. In the cozy dining room there are barely five tables and capacity for 16 people (reservations are closed until October!) And its culinary philosophy (away from rush and bombast, simply focused on flavors, enjoyment, rest, calm ...) it is also noticeable in the dining room, as cozy as being at home.
