A joint investigation was conducted by six organizations, including the police, firefighters, and the National Institute of Scientific Investigation, at the Coupang Logistics Center in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, where the fire continued for six days from the 17th.

It's been 12 days since the fire started, and it's been a week since the fire was completely extinguished.

Police believe the fire started at the top of the two-story basement.

This is the point where smoke and flames began to rise from the CCTV video inside the building that was released a few days ago.

[Yeo Woon-cheol / Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency Scientific Investigation Team: The 2nd basement floor has a two-story structure. The 3rd floor among the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the duplex is believed to be the ignition point.] The

interior photos obtained by the reporters showed that the fire had been charred for several days without a single spot.

An official who participated in the investigation said that there were many places that collapsed throughout the building, and access was difficult due to safety issues, such as a part of the iron plate falling suddenly during heavy rain.

He also said that the effect of the sprinklers would have been limited, seeing the high stacked parcel boxes and plastic burnt out.

The allegation of delayed operation of sprinklers raised by internal employees is a task for the police to solve in the future.

CCTV footage shows that the fire started about 20 minutes earlier than the reporting time.

The police are checking whether the time in the CCTV video matches the actual time of the fire.

[Police official: We compare the statement with the data we obtained, and finally the fire time comes out.] The

police and the National Forensic Service began a detailed analysis of the firefighting equipment collected from the scene.
