A U.S. soldier who got drunk and ran into a pedestrian while riding a kickboard was arrested by the police.



Yesterday (27th) around 1:10 a.m., near Itaewon Station in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a 23-year-old U.S. Forces Korea A, who rode a kickboard while under the influence of alcohol, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

According to the revised Road Traffic Act that took effect on the 13th of last month, if you do not have a motor vehicle license or are caught driving an electric scooter while drinking alcohol, you must pay a fine of 100,000 won.



As with driving under the influence of alcohol, a blood alcohol concentration of 0.03% or higher will result in a license suspension, and a driver's license of 0.08% or higher will be revoked.
