After the harassment of his superiors, the family of late prosecutor Kim Hong-young, who made an extreme choice, agreed to a mediation plan according to the court's decision in a claim for damages against the state.
It has been 1 year and 7 months since the lawsuit was filed in November 2019.
Prosecutor Kim's family litigation representative said today (17th), "The court recently made a 'decision in lieu of mediation', and both the bereaved family and the government have signed a written consent for the court decision."
Accordingly, the bereaved family and the Supreme Prosecutor's Office decided to improve the organizational culture of the prosecution and provide a space to commemorate the dead, including Prosecutor Kim, to prevent recurrence, as the court decided.
The bereaved family said, "The court hoped that the defendant and the Supreme Prosecutor would do their best to prevent such a sad and tragic incident from ever happening again." My heart is heavy, and I hope that this adjustment will contribute to the end of workplace bullying."
