Last April, Apple formalized its first iMac equipped with an M1 home processor.

A new model eagerly awaited by many aficionados of the brand since it offers better performance thanks to its in-house chip.

Unfortunately, some copies would have a major defect: their slab would have been mounted upside down.

Fortunately, this defect seems to affect only a handful of new owners.

This does not prevent the manufacturing defect from being significant.

Some report that the screen of their iMac is simply not parallel to its foot.

Additionally, due to a concern with the screws that hold the screen to the rest of the computer, the display surface appears twisted and bent.

This obviously disrupts the display.

“I received the new 24 inch iMac M1 today and notice the screen is askew at the bottom right, 1mm is not much, but enough to feel it, someone else has it the same problem?

“Asks a new owner on the Apple forum.

Apple is slow to react

In addition to the testimonials on Reddit or the Apple forum, the iPhonedo Youtubeur also seems to be affected by this problem.

In his latest video, he details the manufacturing flaws in his Mac and invites other users to check their Macs.

The site specializing in the news of Apple MacRumors also noted the concern of manufacture on the copy that it received in writing.

For now, Apple does not seem to have reacted yet, but if the problem concerns a certain number of users, the Cupertino company could react and set up a replacement program.

If you notice the defect on your iMac, contact Apple's after-sales service as soon as possible.
