with the Latteria Sorrentina award

, whose ranking is headed by the

Italian brand Da Michele

After the global boom in artisanal pizza chains,

50 Top Pizza

-the digital guide of reference in the sector-, has created this year the Latteria Sorrentina award, a list with

20 brands from the five continents

, seven of them Italian, reports this Wednesday the organization in a note.

In this first edition, the first place has been awarded to the Da Michele brand, which was born in Naples and now has

19 stores around the world

, eight of them in Italy.

In second place is another name of the Neapolitan school,

Sorbillo

, which has different locations on the Italian Peninsula, as well as in New York, Miami and Tokyo.

Third place goes to the

French group Big Mamma,

with numerous locations in Italy, London and Madrid (Bel Mondo).

The pizzerias were evaluated in at least five of their locations by the 50 Top Pizzas inspectors and

all the
