The CEO of the Disney group said on Monday that the introduction of advertising on the Disney + platform was not relevant.

The streaming offer will therefore remain free of any promotional message, unlike some of these competitors.

Several free offers or at lower prices have indeed appeared but their users must in exchange view advertising spots.

The leader, however, has not completely ruled out such a formula in the long term, reports

A small price increase

“We currently don't have a plan to do this,” said Bob Chapek in a question-and-answer session, explaining that his company was happy with the models it was currently using.

“We are constantly reassessing the way we present ourselves in markets around the world,” the CEO nevertheless said.

Far from lowering its price, Disney + has even recently revised upwards the price of its subscription in the United States.

This went from $ 7 to $ 8 per month.

According to Bob Chapek, this is the first increase practiced by Disney + for sixteen months.

“As a result of that, we have not seen a significant jump in the number of subscription cancellations,” commented the president.

He also recalled that the pricing policy of his streaming platform was "very attractive in terms of price quality".
