A man who was wanted for violating probation and other charges was arrested by the police after he tried to sexually assault a woman he did not know.

The Gangdong Police Station in Seoul made an emergency arrest today (16th) at around 4 am on a road in Cheonho-dong, a 20-year-old man, on charges of attempted rape.

Earlier, at around 3:30 in the morning, when Mr. A saw a woman sitting alone in front of a hotel, Mr. Lee said, "Is there no place to sleep, let's go in together".

Mr. A rejected the proposal and left his seat, but Mr. Lee ran behind Mr. A, covered his mouth, grabbed him and knocked him down, and dragged Mr. A who was resisting, and ran away when he saw a citizen trying to report it.

After receiving the report, the police rushed to the scene and checked the victim's clothes, searched the area, and checked the direction of the escape using the surrounding CCTV.

Then, he found Mr. Lee and followed him and conducted an unsuspecting check, but Mr. Lee only admitted that he spoke to the woman and denied the rest of the allegations, including sexual harassment.

Afterwards, the police confirmed that Mr. Lee was following Mr. A as he was walking and knocked him down through CCTV, etc., and the police arrested Mr. Lee on charges of attempted rape.

During the arrest, Mr. Lee also resisted by lying on the road.

It has been confirmed that Lee was wanted for two cases: violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning Traffic Accidents and Violation of the Probation Act.

Police said, "Since Lee is a wanted suspect, we plan to hand over the case to the prosecution."
