The police have concluded that there is no accusation against a classmate who was accused of defamation for raising the suspicion of school violence against Lia, a member of the girl group ITZY.

The Incheon Yeonsu Police Station announced that it had decided not to send a woman in her 20s who was accused of defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, with no charges.

In February, Mr. A posted an article on an internet community titled 'I am a victim of school violence against a famous female idol born in 2000'.

In this article, Mr. A claimed that 'the offender (Ria) borrowed money and did not pay it back or bullied his friend for no reason'.

He also went to Lia and asked why he was harassing his friend, and he said that he was also traumatized by the constant swearing and abusive language from the group.

Afterwards, Lia's agency, JYP, sued A, saying, "We plan to take strong legal action against acts that damage the artist's reputation and interfere with their activities."

However, the police judged that the post that Mr. A posted on the Internet community was only an expression of what he had experienced, and that it was difficult to see that it was written to slander Leah.

In addition, I saw that there was not enough evidence to believe that the article written by Mr. A was falsely made up.

A police official explained, "Considering the situation of Mr. A and the contents of his post, we have determined that the charge of defamation is not established."
