Alumni of the school who drove a used foreign car for 4 years, deliberately caused a contact accident and stole more than 500 million won in settlement money, were caught by the police.

The Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, announced today (6th) that they arrested two used car dealers, including A (29), on charges of violating the Special Act on Insurance Fraud Prevention, and booked 29 people, including classmate B (29), without detention.

From January 2015 to December 2019, Mr. A drove 10 vehicles, including used foreign cars, in Bucheon and Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, and caused 52 deliberate traffic accidents. He is accused of stealing 520 million won.

They selected only vehicles that changed course in the solid or dotted straight section, caused a contact accident, inflated the damage, received excessive hospital treatment, and received settlement money.

In the case of a foreign car with a long repair period and difficult to obtain parts, it was investigated that the insurance company was trying to pay for the repair cost in cash instead of repairing the car.

Most of them, who are classmates from elementary, middle and high school, are used car dealers, and it has been found that they committed the crime with their own or their parents' vehicles.

After receiving reports from victims suspected of intentional traffic accidents, the police arrested them one after another after investigating.

Person A stated in the police investigation that "the insurance money received was used for entertainment expenses, etc."

A police official said, "We have arrested the two main culprits as there is a high possibility that they intentionally cause accidents 1-2 times a month and attempt to destroy evidence. .
