A white march is being held this Wednesday in tribute to Stéphanie, a 22-year-old young woman killed in the street with stab wounds in Hayange during the night from Sunday to Monday.

Shortly after the incident, her 23-year-old husband, a Serbian political refugee, suspected of being the perpetrator, was arrested.

Yet another feminicide that arouses sadness, anger but also incomprehension among the relatives and neighbors of Stéphanie.

"We don't feel safe"

In the procession, we therefore do not understand that the complaint of the victim against her spouse, last year, was not transmitted to justice.

"I find that absurd because we might have been able to avoid the tragedy. Tuesday the public prosecutor of Metz refuted any "dysfunction of the judicial services", and argued that the prosecution had not been notified of complaints by the young woman against her violent spouse.

The government launched an inspection mission on Wednesday to shed light on this tragedy.
