<Anchor> There is a series of

incidents of paying tens of thousands of won deposits for lending expensive imported cars cheaply, and stealing the borrowed car later.

KBC reporter Junho Lee reports.

<Reporter> A

parking lot in a one-room building in Gwangju in the evening.

A man looks around and naturally gets on a white imported car and drives away.

However, this man was not the owner of the car.

25-year-old A, who rented this car, learned that the car had disappeared late.

The person who took the car was the person who rented the car for him and his crew.

Mr. A recently deposited money after hearing an acquaintance's word that he could rent an expensive imported car with only a deposit of KRW 2,000,000, but the crew that lent the car stole the car again.

[Mr. A/victim: I put in all the money I have. I was angry at first, but now I only think I have to report it.]

Mr. B, a man in his twenties, is also unable to get back 40 million won in deposit due to the same method.

It is estimated that so far, 9 victims have been identified in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and the damage will amount to hundreds of millions of won.

The cars borrowed by the victims are mostly high-end imported cars of billions, and are not registered in the official rental car.

[Mr. B/victim: It's also a normal license plate, and everyone is hurt because it's said to return (deposit).] I

contacted one of the gangs who lent the car, but only left an ambiguous answer.

[Illegal rental rate: (Aren't you supposed to return the deposit?) I just delivered the money. If there is any part to take moral responsibility, I will be responsible for it.] When the

victims' complaints were received, the police began an investigation, including chasing the hidden gang.
