She was sentenced to life imprisonment at the first trial, accused of abusing 16-month-old adoptee Jung In-yang and killing her.

The 13th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court (Judge Lee Sang-ju) said today (14th) at the sentence of Mr. Yang Mo-jang, who was charged with murder, "the charges of murder, which are the facts of the surrounding prosecution (main crime), are convicted" And sentenced him to life imprisonment.

The court judged that "the defendant applied strong force, such as stepping on the abdomen of the lying victim," and said, "This allows us to admit that pancreatic amputation and mesenteric rupture occurred on the same day."

"It was predictable enough that if a strong impact on the victim's abdomen, which was injured, could cause fatal damage and result in death," he added. "Including the fact that 119 was not reported after the assault, the defendant was murdered. It can be said that there was an unwritten intention of ".

The judge said, "The defendant routinely abused the victim a month after adoption and made him die of unimaginable brutality." He explained the reason for the sentencing.

Jang was arrested on charges of habitual assault and abuse of his daughter Jung In, who was adopted from June to October last year, and on October 13th, inflicting a strong shock to the abdomen and causing him to die.

Earlier, the prosecution asked Jang to be executed at a decision hearing.

The lawyer admitted that Jang had repeatedly abused and assaulted Jung In-yang, but emphasized that there was no strong shock, such as stepping on a boat with the intention of murder on the day of his death.

It was argued that a rupture of the mesentery and pancreas, which caused death, may also have occurred during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

However, the judiciary judged that "it is difficult to cause serious damage such as pancreas amputation and mesenteric rupture by dropping a child or performing CPR. It is reasonable to assume that a strong blunt force was applied to the abdomen with the body part of the defendant's hands or feet." I did.

The judiciary decided that Jeong In-i's right thigh, occipital, and rib-side wounds were also "hard to be seen as something that can occur in everyday life," and that "the fact of the assault is admitted."

Mr. Ahn, his adoptive wife, who was accused of abusing Jung In and assisting his wife's assault or abuse (violation of the Child Welfare Act, etc.) was sentenced to five years in prison, and after the trial, Mr. Ahn was imprisoned in court.

The judge criticized, "As the victim's adoptive father, the defendant is only making excuses that he did not know the fact of the abuse even though he was in a position that made it easier to understand his wife's parenting attitude and the victim's condition than anyone else."

He explained the reason for the sentence, saying, "There is a high probability of being accused of neglecting abuse for a long period of time without taking any measures to protect the child."
