More than 200 people took part in a clandestine party in Côtes d'Armor, according to the prefecture.

The two people suspected of being the organizers were taken into custody, and sixty people were fined.

Two people were taken into custody and sixty fined following a clandestine party in Côtes d'Armor in which "more than 200 people" participated, the prefecture announced on Sunday.

"The two people suspected of being the organizers of the festivity were arrested and placed in police custody for concealed work, noise pollution, non-compliance with the provisions governing musical festive gatherings, deliberate endangerment of the lives of others" , according to the press release from the prefecture, specifying that the party took place on the coastal town of Binic-Etables-sur-mer, about fifteen kilometers west of Saint-Brieuc.

"Sixty people were fined for violations of the health rules taken to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. [...] More than 200 people were present and quickly dispersed when the gendarmes arrived," said the prefecture .

"The material used in the commission of the offense was seized (alcohol, pregnant in particular) as well as 800 euros. [...] The party, in a property rented on the Bon Coin, was reported on social networks , entry and alcohol were chargeable. Most of the people came from Brittany, "the same source said.

The gendarmes were "alerted by neighbors".
