A detailed list of 1,488 contemporary and contemporary artworks donated to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art by the bereaved family of the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee has been released. Not only major works by Lee Jung-seop and Park Soo-geun, but also rare works by Na Hye-suk and Paik Nam-soon, who were known to have few remaining works, are evaluated as having to rewrite our modern and contemporary art history.

Lee Kun-hee's collection donated to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, such as the'White Cow' struggling to move forward with the vigorously crying'Ox', and Eun Ji-hwa painted on the silver foil of a cigarette case, included only 104 works by Lee Joong-seop.

In addition to the works of Na Hye-seok, the first female Western painter in Korea, works of female artists such as Nam-soon Paik, who studied abroad in Paris in the 1920s, also attract attention.



Lee Sang-beom's Mureungdo Wondo has only been known for its existence, but the real thing was confirmed for the first time.



In this way, 1,369 works of 238 contemporary and contemporary artists have been returned to the public.
