In less than two weeks, WhatsApp will implement its new privacy policy.

It was initially supposed to come into force on February 8 but the Facebook group postponed it to May 15, after the turmoil caused by the implementation of this change.

Rather than signing under pressure, hundreds of thousands of users had indeed decided to quit live messaging for Telegram or Signal.

In the meantime, Mark Zuckerberg's group has tried to get the new T & Cs of its application accepted, but without changing the privacy policy they contain, reports

Soon a degraded service

To continue using the application, there will be no choice but to accept the terms of use.

These will make it possible to share the personal data of WhatsApp users within the Facebook group, the parent company.

Likewise, for Facebook, it is a question of monetizing the application acquired in 2014 by bringing advertisers and users more in touch.

If you no longer log into your WhatsApp account, even with a degraded mode, it could also disappear.

"For the sake of security, to limit data retention and to protect the privacy of our users, WhatsApp accounts are generally deleted after 120 days of inactivity", can we read in the help center of the application.
