"Portraying the All-Russian Dictator": 140th Anniversary of the Birth of Alexander Kerensky
On May 4, 1881, a prominent participant in the February Revolution, Minister-Chairman of the Provisional Government, Alexander Kerensky, was born. According to historians, he played an important role in the fall of the Russian monarchy. Contemporaries note that Kerensky was an excellent lawyer and a brilliant orator, but did not have the qualities necessary to govern the state. Russia under his leadership found itself in a deep crisis, which grew into the October Revolution and the Civil War.
