The Ministry of Justice delivered a list of candidates for the next Prosecutor General to the nominating committee members today (26th).

The Ministry of Justice said that this morning it has delivered the review data on about 10 candidates for the Prosecutor General to the members of the Prosecutor General's Candidate Recommendation Committee.

All of the personnel recommended during the national referral period in March were listed as the subject of judging.

It is known to include Lee Seong-yoon, Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Gu Bon-seon Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office, Cho Nam-gwan's Deputy Prosecutor General, and Yangbu-nam's former Busan High Prosecutor's Office.

An official from the Ministry of Justice explained, "We sent the review data of all 10 people recommended for the effectiveness of the recommendation committee's deliberation."

After reviewing these screening materials in advance, the nominating committee selects three or more at the meeting on the 29th and recommends them to Justice Minister Park Bum-gye.

Secretary Park proposes one of them to President Moon Jae-in.

Considering the president's nominations and personnel hearing procedures, the new president is expected to begin his term in late May or early June.
