Today (25th) around 2:30 noon, a forest fire broke out in Chiaksan National Park, Seongnam-ri, Sillim-myeon, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, and caught fire in about three hours.
The Forest Service, together with the Fire Department, put in 6 helicopters, firefighters, and 120 people, including civil servants, to catch a big fire at around 5:30 pm and clean up the remaining fires.
Currently, construction warnings are issued in the interior and production areas of Yeongseo, including Wonju.
Forestry authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
