A fire broke out and the hull sank.
Today (24th), around 9:50 am, a fire broke out on a 29t class tugboat on the 3.7km sea, east of Iwon Port, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do.
The two crew members on board were rescued safely, but all of the hulls, such as the engine room and the wheelhouse, were burned by this fire.
The burnt ship sank during extinguishing work.
It is reported that the ship in the accident left the temporary pier of Samcheok Thermal Power Plant at around 6:10 am today and was moving to Busan.
The Donghae Maritime Police Station is working to clean up some oil spills from the sunken ship.
