Excavations by archaeologists from the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap) have found, on the site of a real estate project in Nîmes (Gard), vestiges dating from the 4th century BC.

These various objects come from an urban district, which would have lasted until the 2nd century AD.

Among these finds, the remains of the hearth of a kitchen, an amphora which would have been used for a plantation in a garden, a bone pendant or two splendid small altars, resulting from a "domus", the traditional Roman houses.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

"Until now, such remains have been very rarely observed within the walls of the city of Nîmes, this hilly sector [where preventive excavations were carried out] not having been the subject of recent archaeological work" , indicates Inrap.
