A woman in her twenties who reported to the police about the sexual assault of her father's father for more than 10 years died in a temporary shelter right after the report.

It was difficult to prove the allegations due to the death of the victim without even writing a statement of statements, but after the investigation authorities continued a reinforcement investigation and secured a number of direct and indirect evidences, the father was finally arrested and handed over to trial.

Mr. A(21) has been sexually assaulted and harassed by Mr. B, a man in his 50s, who is his father, since he was in elementary school.

Mr. A, whose father was the only family member, visited the Seoul Police Station in the early morning of the 5th of last month, persuaded by a boyfriend who learned of the damage while failing to inform the investigation agency.

Afterwards, A was found dead on the morning of the 8th of the same month three days after complaining of mental distress while moving to a temporary shelter prepared by the police.

When the victim was unable to state the damage on his own, Mr. B strongly denied the charges in the police.

Accordingly, the police identified a number of circumstances to prove the allegations, including the social network service (SNS) article A left in his life, and was issued an arrest warrant for Mr. B last month.

Even after sending the case to the prosecution, the police are known to have secured conclusive evidence that there has been continuous sexual assault from Mr. A's childhood through reinforcement investigations.

Earlier this month, the district prosecutor of the Eastern District of Seoul, who took over the case, charged Mr. B under the Sexual Violence Penalty Act for quasi-rape due to relatives.

Quasi-rape refers to the sin of sexual intercourse using a person's mental and physical loss or inability to protest.

It is reported that the investigative authorities widely considered the fact that Mr. A felt contradictory feelings to Mr. B, the guardian and caregiver due to the nature of sexual crimes between relatives, and that he was in a state of mind in which he was unable to defend himself at all.

In fact, in 2019, the victim left a message on social media containing the feelings of ``I couldn't say anything because I hate my dad feeling guilty'' and ``I feel like I lost everything because I think my only dad wasn't my dad''.

It seems that the psychological shock would have been even greater because I broke up with my mother when I was young and stayed dependent on Mr. B as the only family member.

It is said that father B did not admit the charges even at the prosecution.

Mr. B's first trial will be held next month at the Seoul Eastern District Law.

The prosecution plans to present concrete evidence to refute Mr. B's statement at the trial.
