Yesterday, the number of new corona19 confirmed cases was totaled to 700, an increase of 32 from the previous day.
It is the highest number since 869 on January 7th, just after the number of confirmed cases peaked due to the tertiary epidemic.
The number of confirmed patients in the metropolitan area, including 239 in Seoul and 223 in Gyeonggi Province, exceeded 70% of the total.
Cases of infection in daily life continue across the country.
The number of confirmed patients, including those who attended the Sojeong Church-related circuit meeting, increased to 201.
With regard to the Dong-gu tutoring academy in Daejeon, two additional people were positive, and the number of cumulative confirmed cases was 72.
As local community infections continued, Daejeon City has been elevated to the second stage of social distancing from 0 o'clock today.
Some are concerned that the recent increase in confirmed cases is showing a pattern similar to the peak of the 3rd outbreak, but the government also warned that the 4th outbreak could become a reality.

The average number of confirmed local outbreaks per day for the past week is 543, and it is still showing 2.5 levels of distance, so it is not possible to rule out the possibility that the quarantine authorities will take out a step upgrade or a card to strengthen quarantine measures.
The government is expected to announce a distancing adjustment tomorrow, which will take effect next week.
