Russia reduced the number of employees in the space industry

“We have reduced the size of the industry over the past two years by 10 thousand,” Ovchinnikov is quoted as saying by TASS.

He called this figure quite large, since in the context of the pandemic, all issues with reductions were paused.

Ovchinnikov noted that the cuts took place as part of the industry reform.

“We set ourselves goals to increase the economic efficiency of the industry's enterprises and the state corporation itself,” he stressed.

Earlier, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin spoke about the planned missions to fly to Venus.
