The Incheon Western Police Department announced today (1st) that it is investigating a woman in her 80s without custody on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act.

Mr. A is accused of illegally slaughtering without proper care while raising about 30 dogs in a hillside in Baekseok-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon.

Animal protection group'Companion World' reported 112 after visiting the site yesterday to check injured or hidden dogs.

At that time, 5-6 corpses were left unattended, and it is said that dozens of sick or injured dogs were left in various places.

In addition, there was a situation where a dog was slaughtered without a licensed facility due to the discovery of damaged corpses and torches.

"It was a situation in which dogs with skin necrosis or without one leg were neglected," said Um-young Um, the CEO of the companion world.

Mr. A denied the charges by the police, saying, "I brought the injured dog and raised it and did not abuse it."

The competent local government, Seo-gu of Incheon City, is planning to catch dogs and take temporary protection measures, while reviewing whether or not administrative measures are taken for the facility operated by Mr. A.

The police will confirm that the dogs raised by Mr. A are in poor health and will further investigate if there has been any other abuses.
