From 9 am today, 46 vaccination centers across the country have started vaccination against the elderly over 75 years of age.

Of the 2,400,000 people who have consented to vaccination, 86% or 1.75 million will be vaccinated. However, as the investigation is still underway, the number of applicants for vaccination is expected to increase.

In Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, a 104-year-old grandmother will be vaccinated as the oldest.

The Pfizer vaccine, which will be used for vaccination of the elderly, has been delivered to each region, and an additional 250,000 people entered the country yesterday morning.

As with the conventional vaccination procedure, the vaccination is given through preliminary examination by medical staff, and after vaccination, you can watch for adverse reactions for 15 to 30 minutes, and if there is no problem, you can return home.

Before vaccination, you should check the scheduled date and go to the vaccination center according to the schedule.

If it is difficult to come directly to the vaccination center, you can use the shuttle bus provided by the local government.

If you experience mild symptoms such as fever or body aches after vaccination, you should take an antipyretic and take a break.

It is recommended to stay with family or acquaintances one or two days after vaccination in case of emergency.

If you have any questions about vaccination, call the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or call centers for local governments.

Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Chung Eun-kyung is also scheduled to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Cheongju Public Health Center this morning.
