A man in his 40s who suffered from acute cerebral hemorrhage and suffered from brain death is giving a new life to five people through organ donation and leaving.

Today (31st), the Korea Organ Tissue Donation Institute announced that 43-year-old Jong-Moon Yang, who was treated at the Busan National University Hospital in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, passed away after donating organs such as heart and lungs.

Yang, who was in good health with no usual pain, collapsed from traumatic acute subdural bleeding while returning home on the 21st. Yangsan was transferred to Busan National University Hospital to start treatment, but Yang fell into a brain death condition within two days and could not wake up.

Yang, who was born as the eldest of the three twins, was a reliable older brother who couldn't choose anything for his twin sisters. It was a great pain to leave her affectionate son and brother, but Yang's father and sisters decided to donate the organs. Because she was a caring personality who usually takes care of her surroundings, she decided that Yang would also support her decision.

Thanks to Yang's donation of the heart, lungs, kidneys, and cornea, four patients with end-stage disease who have been dialysis for a long time and one patient who needs a corneal transplant have a new life.

Yang's father, Yang Dong-ju, said, "I thought it would be good to save the lives of others by donating organs."

The Korea Organ Organizations Donation Service will support Yang's family and beneficiaries to share correspondence.
