Motorola turns its smartphones into laptops -

Geeko

The American manufacturer has just unveiled a new smartphone, the Moto G100.

A model that targets the top of the range while remaining affordable.

The smartphone indeed embeds a high-end Qualcomm chip, namely the Snapdragon 870 5G.

With its 8 GB of RAM, the Moto G100 has enough to ensure good performance.

Moreover, the American manufacturer emphasizes the productivity of its smartphone thanks to its Motorola Ready For function which turns the Moto G100 into a desktop PC.

Just connect a computer screen to the smartphone via HDMI support and you're good to go.

The phone will then display an interface similar to that of a desktop PC.

Then just connect a mouse and keyboard by Bluetooth to use it.

It can also double as a gaming console, thanks to the Snapdragon Elite Gaming features included in the Qualcomm chip.

A quality screen

The Moto G100 thus embeds a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with a 21: 9 ratio which therefore covers almost the entire front.

It should be noted that the screen has a refresh rate of 90 Hz - which may seem a little low, the trend is indeed more towards 120 Hz - and a Full HD + definition.

Finally, the screen is drilled twice to allow the dual front camera of 16 and 8 megapixels to pass.

At the back of the device, there is a photo module with four sensors;

a main 64 megapixel (f / 1.7), an ultra wide angle of 16 megapixels (f / 2.2), a depth sensor of 2 megapixels (f / 2.4) and finally a ToF sensor.

One thing is certain, it is not at the level of the photo that the Moto G100 stands out.

A big template

The Moto G100 sports a very sleek design both on the front and back, the photo base does not match the rest of the phone.

We could still regret the choice of plastic as a material.

It will also be noted that the phone is quite thick with 9.69mm thickness.

An aspect that is easily explained by the size of the battery it carries.

The Moto G100 indeed has a 5000 mAh battery which gives it a good autonomy of about 40 hours.

Note that the smartphone still has a jack and that its memory of 128 GB is expandable via a micro SD card up to 1TB.

Finally, the phone is available in 3 colors;

blue, silver and dark gray.

The new Moto G100 will be marketed around 500 euros.

As for its release date, again, we will have to wait for Motorola to reveal more details about its new smartphone.
