Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who is imprisoned in Seoul detention center, is known to have undergone emergency surgery at Samsung Medical Center after an appendix burst.
Vice-Chairman Lee reportedly was transferred from the Seoul Detention Center to Samsung Medical Center on the evening of the 19th and underwent emergency surgery.
Vice-Chairman Lee is sentenced to two years and six months in prison at a repatriation trial for the destruction of Gukjeong Nongdan in January and is being imprisoned in the Seoul Detention Center.
