The Stellaris board game raises nearly 2 million on Kickstarter -

Geeko

The crowdfunding platform KickStarter is once again the scene of a success story.

Once again, this is the adaptation of a video game to a board game.

Project which very often meets a great success on the platform, helped by the fan-base of the original media.

And the

Stellaris Infinite Legacy

game

is just one more example.

The project will indeed see the light of day since the objective of 42,012 euros was quickly reached.

At the time of this writing, the prize pool exceeded 1.9 million euros thanks to more than 13,000 contributors.

The adaptation of the

Stellaris

video game

will thus take the form of a “4X” board game, namely a game that combines exploration, expansion, exploitation and extermination.

This is a very popular genre with games that can easily last anywhere from 5 to 6 hours.

And this is where

Stellaris Infinite Legacy

should appeal to them since it wants to both stick to the genre while offering a shorter experience.

The developers thus announce parts of 2 hours.

Not before April 2022

The board game will still offer a good dose of strategy, characteristic of the 4X genre, but also of the original video game with a futuristic universe.

Here, players will be in charge of an alien civilization in search of new lands to colonize.

They will have to harvest resources, develop their armies and infrastructure to achieve their objective and face the potential enemies that will stand in their way.

Each player - two to four - will start with a deck of cards that will evolve as the game progresses.

The game also has many pieces of all kinds.

If the campaign ends in a fortnight, we should not expect to receive the game soon.

The developers are indeed announcing the first deliveries for April 2022, at best.

Count all the same a hundred euros for the standard edition of the board game.
