A taxi driver who was sentenced to two years in prison at the first trial for deliberate accidents against an ambulance carrying emergency patients was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison at the appeal trial.

At the sentence of 32-year-old Choi Mo, held today (12th), the 3rd Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court Criminal Affairs Office (Chun-ho Kim) canceled the court case sentenced to two years in prison and sentenced him to one year and ten months in prison.

On June 8, last year, Choi deliberately caused a contact accident with an ambulance on a road in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and was charged with blocking the road for 10 minutes, saying, "Start handling the accident. If you die, I will be responsible."

The patient's family claimed that a 79-year-old patient with stage 4 lung cancer, who was in an ambulance while in an ambulance, lost the opportunity to be admitted to the negative pressure isolation room, resulting in a worsening condition and died.

This case was known and reproved by the Blue House national petition asking the son of a deceased patient to punish Mr. Choi.
