Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon filed a lawsuit for damages against the chairman of the Roh Moo Hyun-dan, Yoo Si-min, in response to the responsibility of distributing fake news.

Prosecutor Han said that today (9th) he filed a lawsuit against Chairman Yoo, claiming damages of 500 million won to the Seoul Central District Court.

He made a problem with Chairman Yoo's assertion through several media interviews and YouTube broadcasts that the Supreme Swordsman Anti-Corruption Forces illegally tracked the accounts of him and the Roh Moo Hyun-dan in late November or early December 2019.

At the time, one prosecutor served as the head of the anti-corruption department.

Prosecutor Han said, "Chairman Yoo admitted that it was false only in January of this year after being asked to provide evidence from the media and civil society as a public official who illegally used public authority for private retaliation." Pointed out.

He said, "I have to tell myself whether Chairman Yoo has created fake news or if someone has provided false news to take advantage of Chairman Yu's influence."

Earlier, in the Solidarity of Action to Set the Rule of Law Right (Legal Refinement), Chairman Yoo was accused of defamation and leakage of public service secrets for spreading false facts against a prosecutor.

The case is being investigated by the Seoul West District Prosecutors' Office.
