It's the end of iMac Pro.

Apple has decided not to restock its stocks for this very powerful computer which was launched in December 2017, reports

Priced from $ 4,999, the iMac Pro was intended, as the name suggests, for professionals.

It had a much higher power than other iMac lines.

"The iMac is, since its creation, the tool of choice for pros," said Apple at the launch, recalls

IMac 27 is suitable for pros

"So when they asked us to create a killer iMac for them, it was with joy that we accepted this very special mission," added the firm.

But now, this "killer" computer is only available on the Apple site "while stocks last".

A single model at 5,999 euros is on sale and no update is offered.

Apple likely made the move to focus on its other iMac lines, experts assume.

Indeed, the 27-inch iMac marketed in the summer of 2020 is very popular with both individuals and professionals.

In addition, the Cupertino company is planning a vast update program so that these iMacs all benefit from the power of Silicon Valley chips.

The transition to these components should be done in the summer of 2021. With such power, the “traditional” iMacs would act as duplicates with the old iMac Pro.

Another good reason to say goodbye to this range.
