The trial on the Wolseong nuclear power plant begins this week.

Criminal Division 11 of the Daejeon District Court proceeds to prepare for a trial in court 316 at 2 pm the day after tomorrow (9th).

The prosecution previously handed over three public officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to trial.

The charges applied to them are damage to public electronic records, violation of the Audit Office Act, and intrusion of attorney.

Two people, including 53-year-old A, have been charged with ordering or condoning the deletion of materials related to Wolseong Unit 1.

Their subordinate, Mr. B, is accused of deleting 530 documents related to Wolseong from his office the day before the meeting with the auditor in December 2019.

The judiciary is expected to check whether the complaint has been supplemented or changed, and coordinate the prosecution and counsel's plans for major witness newspapers.

The legal profession expects the prosecution to apply for former Minister of Industry, Baek Un-gyu, as a witness.
