Around 7:45 this morning, a fire broke out in an apartment in Jeongneung-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.



Residents say the fire started after hearing a loud explosion.

fire started on the 6th floor spread on the veranda to the next door and the upper house on the 7th floor.



Nine residents were rescued, but they complained of difficulty breathing and back pain due to inhalation of smoke and were transferred to the hospital.



Two of them were reported to be seriously injured, the first time the fire broke out and the neighbors who were usually suffering from asthma.



The fire was completely extinguished in about 50 minutes, and 45 apartment residents stayed in a temporary facility during the fire recovery.



Police and fire departments are investigating the exact cause of the fire, as it is believed to have started a fire due to a gas explosion.
