Yesterday (4th) around 6:20 pm, crude oil leaked from an oil pipeline near the S-Oil factory in Ulju-gun, Ulsan.
The fire department said that there was a leak accident of unknown cause in a 42-inch diameter oil pipe, and that it is carrying out emergency control work, such as installing oil fences in nearby rivers and sucking in crude oil along with the coastal police.
He also said that 15,000 liters of crude oil has been recovered so far, and that the exact amount of spillage and the cause of the accident are being investigated.
