National Police Agency has initiated a full-scale supervision by placing General Park Mo, the head of the Seoul Gangnam Police Department, on standby.



While serving as the head of the Seoul Police Agency's intelligent crime investigation from 2019 to the beginning of this year, General Park is under suspicion that he has been confronted with a lawyer representing a law firm, a motive of the police.



The police are conducting high-intensity inspections, such as analyzing the details of Chong-gyeong Park's corporate card, focusing on whether there has been an inappropriate transaction between Chong-gyeong Park and the law firm in connection with the case request.



Along with this, there are also confirming suspicions of drinking alcohol during working hours and returning late, or calling a female subordinate policeman to drink from time to time.



In particular, for some charges, it has even requested an investigation by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.



In addition to General Park, it is known that he is also reviewing investigations on Captain A, who worked with Jisoo University at the time.



An official from the National Police Agency explained, "We have not yet revealed the allegations of the crime of General Park," and explained that "we decided that normal work was difficult, so we took action on standby."



In a call with SBS, General Park and Captain A strongly denied all of the allegations, and announced that they would conduct an investigation with confidence and clear the suspicion.
