<Anchor> The

prosecution, who is re-investigating the drinking assault case by Deputy Attorney General Yong-gu Lee, secured a video of Vice Minister Lee calling someone right after the assault.

If the police were dispatched and then made a phone call, it would be worth considering various possibilities, but the prosecution is in a position that it is not necessary.

Reporter Won Jong-jin reports exclusively.

Dr. Lee Yong-gu, who was drunk, assaulted a taxi driver who said he had arrived at his destination at around 11 pm on November 6 last year.

The taxi driver, who was assaulted in the car, reported to 112 and testified that police officers had arrived in minutes.

[Assault victim taxi driver;

(After the assault, Vice Minister Lee Yong-gu) didn't say anything.

I have nothing to say.

((Vice Minister in the car) didn't even call?) No such thing.] After the

police came, Lee and the taxi driver got off the taxi and explained the case.

However, it is known that the prosecution has secured a CCTV video of the apartment that shows the Vice Minister getting out of the taxi and making a phone call somewhere.

It means that after the police were dispatched to the scene, Deputy Minister Lee called someone.

Checking this call is a very basic investigation process to determine whether there has been any request or external pressure related to the handling of an assault case.

However, the prosecution has not checked the call history for more than 15 days even after securing these videos earlier this month.

When asked if there is a need to check the call history, he said, "I don't think it's the mainstream of the investigation."

The prosecution has neither plans to confiscate the Vice Minister's mobile phone, nor does it have a schedule to call and investigate.

Given this situation, some people interpret that the investigation team is feeling the burden of investigating Lee Seong-yoon after the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office.

Vice Minister Lee Yong-gu answered that he seemed to have called home when asked by SBS reporters who he called at the time.
