  • The “silhouette challenge”, a somewhat hot challenge that has gone viral on Tiktok.

  • According to the northern gendarmes, the red filter can easily be attenuated to reveal the nudity of the person filmed.

  • There are also many more or less effective tutorials on the Internet.

Red alert.

Each social network has its share of challenges.

One of the last, very popular on Tiktok, is the “silhouette challenge”.

A challenge which is certainly not physically dangerous, but which can still have unfortunate consequences.

The northern gendarmerie has also alerted to potential misappropriation of videos of this challenge that has gone viral.

By typing different hashtags for “silhouette challenge” on TikTok, we quickly see that this challenge is very, very, very popular.

By themselves, #silhouettechallenge and #silhouette have accumulated nearly a billion views.

The challenge is to film yourself in a door frame in undress, even naked, with a red filter on the sound "put your head on my shoulder" remixed.

If it's done well, the video remains suggestive and only reveals the shapes of the person.

We go from all red to all naked in a few clicks

"Except that this effect can easily be removed by a third party, revealing the nudity of that or of the one who published a video of this kind on TikTok", assure the gendarmes of the North.

They claim to have successfully completed the test using “different applications or software”.

On the Internet, there are also many tutorials to, if not remove, at least mitigate the effect of the red filter.

The result is sometimes impressive and actually makes it possible to reveal the body of a person who would no doubt have preferred to remain in the shadows.

What is reassuring is that many videos are also circulating on the Internet to warn about the hijacking of “silhouette challenge” videos.

For the gendarmes, the best thing is nevertheless to think before posting on social networks: "your nudity belongs to you, do not share it", they insist.
