Google Play Music: all data will be deleted on February 24 -

Geeko

The Mountain View firm ended its music streaming service, Play Music, last December.

If the service itself is no longer available, users can still retrieve their data, including their music tracks and libraries, as well as their play and search history.

Moreover, Google has set up a tool to facilitate the transfer of data to YouTube Music, the new music streaming platform of the American firm.

Users have until February 24 to retrieve and / or transfer their data saved on Google Play Music, including “imported, purchased or added songs”.

As of this date, Google's service will be completely deleted, along with all user data.

Google makes data recovery easier

To help its users, Google has set up a data transfer tool to YouTube Music.

All you need to do is sign in to your Google account and go to this site to view your Google Play Music data.

You can then choose which data you want to transfer to YouTube Music or download.

Via the Play Music app, you can still download your music library, delete your music recommendations or all of your music.

In any case, on February 24, all data from Google Play Music users will be deleted, as will the application.
