It is known that a former Seoul Mayor's secretary office, who was sentenced to jail in the first trial for sexual assault on a fellow employee, was dismissed from Seoul.

According to Yonhap News, the city of Seoul decided to dismiss former secretary office employee A at the HR committee held on the 8th.

Dismissal is the highest level among dismissal, dismissal, demotion, and disposition, which are classified as severe disciplinary action.

According to the disciplinary standards of the disciplinary rules for local public officials, among the types of offenses, sexual violence crimes are severely unfair and deliberately subject to dismissal.

If a public official is dismissed, hiring for five years is banned and retirement pensions are cut by up to half.

Mr. A was charged with sexual assault by taking a drunk fellow employee B to a motel on the eve of the April 15 general election last year, and was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison last month and was imprisoned in court.

He appealed against the ruling.

Mr. A was in charge of the protocol of former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon for several years until this case.

Victim B is a person who sued former Mayor Park for sexual harassment.

On April 23, last year, Mr. A was excluded from his job and placed on standby, and after receiving a notification of the start of a police investigation, he was restricted from his position.

In December of last year, the City Audit Committee decided on severe disciplinary action and requested a resolution from the HR Committee, which is reportedly accepted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
