The court sentenced a driver to five years in prison for a seven-fold collision in Haeundae, Busan while driving under a hemp hallucination.

The first criminal division of the Busan District Court, Dongbu District Court (Judge Yeom Guard), sentenced Mr. A, a Porsche driver, to five years in prison today (16th) for violating the drug management law.

The court sentenced B, a companion who handed the drugs, to three years in prison and five years on probation.

On September 14 last year, Mr. A, after smoking cannabis at 5:40 p.m., drove a Porsche vehicle and had two hit-and-run accidents near Haeundae Station, and then suffered a seven-fold collision at a nearby Middle East intersection.

In this accident, 7 people were seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

At the time of the accident, it was investigated that Mr. A was handed to us cannabis from his companion, Mr. B, inhaled and drove in a hallucination state.

Mr. A was prosecuted in prison, and Mr. B has been tried in disability.

The court admitted that the accident occurred in a state of weakness in mind and body caused by drugs, but explained that because Mr. A caused a state of weakness in mind and body by himself, the penalty for mental and physical weakness was not reduced.

The court judged that "in consideration of the fact that the domestically restricted cannabis was sucked and driven, that several victims caused traffic accidents, and that drug crimes led to additional crimes, it was necessary to strictly punish them." Said.
