The Ministry of Environment announced that tomorrow (14th) in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Chungnam regions, the ultra-fine dust crisis warning'interest' stage will be issued and emergency fine dust reduction measures will be implemented from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. .

This is the first time that emergency measures to reduce fine dust have been implemented in the metropolitan area this year.

Currently, the high concentration situation in which the concentration of ultrafine dust exceeds 50㎍/㎥ continues in the metropolitan and Chungcheong regions, and it is expected to exceed 50㎍/㎥ tomorrow, meeting the requirements for issuing emergency reduction measures.

When emergency reduction measures are implemented, reinforced fine dust emission reduction measures, such as adjustment of operation rates and operating hours, are implemented at mandatory business sites and construction sites in the metropolitan and Chungcheong areas.

In addition, measures such as changing the operating hours and adjusting the utilization rate are implemented at 279 workplaces that emit large amounts of fine dust such as the power generation and paper industries, and public workplaces such as incineration plants.

At the construction site, measures to control flying dust are implemented, such as changing and adjusting construction hours, operating a sprinkler, and putting on a dust cover.

However, in consideration of the fact that vehicles are not operated on holidays and are not concentrated at specific times, the operation of class 5 vehicles is not restricted.

Tomorrow, the National Institute of Environmental Sciences Air Quality Integrated Forecast Center said that the concentration of ultra-fine dust will be'very bad' in southern Gyeonggi, Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo and Chungcheong area, Gwangju and Jeonbuk as'bad', and other areas will be'normal' He said it was expected.
