An elementary school student I learned from Social Network Service (SNS) was called out and raped and ran away after being caught by the police.

The Chungnam Provincial Police Agency said that today (10th) around 6:56 am, the suspect A was caught in some places in Gyeonggi-do.

Mr. A is accused of sexual assault after meeting B, an elementary school student he learned online on the morning of the 6th, in a region in Chungnam and taking him to his home in the metropolitan area.

It was investigated that he approached Ms. B online, saying, "I want to meet you, so please give me an address."

When she broke up with Ms. B, it was said that she even threatened to "be careful because she knows the address of her home."

A police official said, "After investigating Mr. A, we will consider which charges to apply."

When Mr. A traveled between the metropolitan area and Chungcheong-do, he used a shared car (car sharing), but there is also a controversy that the suspect was delayed and the damage was caused because the company did not cooperate with the police investigation.

It turned out that the police requested vehicle user information from Soka, but the company refused to provide the information, saying, "There must be a warrant."

If an investigative agency requests user information for criminal investigation, it must cooperate according to the internal manual to protect the victim, but it has not followed this.

In this regard, Soka CEO Park Jae-wook said in an apology this morning, "I sincerely apologize to the victims and family members for the company's failure to cooperate quickly with the request for cooperation in the police investigation of the user's criminal activity."

He added, "I apologize to the police officials who did their best to protect the victims and arrest the suspects, and to the people who were shocked by this incident."
