Microsoft Authenticator, the new password manager, officially launched on Friday.

The new feature should make life easier for users of iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC and Android devices, reports

9to5Mac

.

The autofill feature for usernames and passwords works like Apple's iCloud Keychain.

Users can store all their credentials through their Microsoft account and connect more easily to the sites they visit regularly.

On Mac, the new function is also available on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge via an extension.

Simplify and secure your life with Microsoft's autofill solution for passwords.

Available for free on the App Store

As for users of other password managers, they rest assured.

Passwords saved in Google Chrome or stored in a CSV file, an export format offered by other password managers, can be easily imported into Microsoft Authenticator.

Finally, as

explains

, this new application will also allow people with Apple devices to protect their identifiers with a PIN code, Touch ID or Face ID.

Available for free on the App Store, however, you will need iOS 11 or later to download Microsoft Authenticator.
