Ministry of Justice today conducted a telegram greeting with the main goal of retaining most of the prosecutors' ranks, including Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Lee Seong-yoon.

This is the first prosecutor's greeting since the Minister of Justice Park Beom-gye.

The Ministry of Justice telegraphed only four prosecutors.

Sim Jae-cheol, the prosecutor general of the Ministry of Justice, who was called the closest aide during the days of the former Attorney General Choo Mi-ae, switched positions to the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor General and Lee Jung-soo, the Southern District Prosecutor General, as the Prosecutor General of the Ministry of Justice.

Chuncheon District Attorney Jo Jung-tae and Chuncheon District Attorney General Kim Ji-yong, deputy chief of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, went to the vacant seat of the Chief Sword Planning and Coordination Department.

Daejeon District Prosecutor's Office Lee Doo-bong, who was in charge of the investigation of the Wolseong nuclear power plant, was retained, and Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, who was interested in whether to return to the front line, remained as a research fellow at the Legal Affairs Training Institute.

The Ministry of Justice said that it has minimized telegrams without a promotion this time, considering that it has been greeting the prosecutor three times over the past year and a half every six months.

It also explained that the procedure for listening to the opinion of the prosecutor general was substantive, and that the minister met with the prosecutor general in person on two occasions to hear specific opinions and to reflect the opinions.

However, there are concerns that the conflict between the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutors' Office could be reproduced as both the replacement of Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Lee Seong-yoon and the return to the front line of Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, who are known to have been requested by President Yoon Seok-yeol, are both unacceptable.
