The 15th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court (Judge Pyo Gyeong-chang) sentenced A (22) and B (21), who were charged with murder and abandonment of the body, to 18 years and 10 years in prison, respectively, at a sentencing trial held today .
The judge said, "The crime of murder violates the precious value of life and is a serious crime that cannot be recovered, and severe punishment is inevitable."
On July 29, last year, they were accused of inhaling drugs at an officetel in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and assaulting a friend of their age, C, with their fists and feet, for 7 hours to death.
When Mr. C died, he put his body in a travel bag and dumped it at a dock in Jung-gu, Incheon.
At the decision trial held on the 14th of last month, the prosecution sentenced A and B to life imprisonment and 30 years in prison, respectively.
In particular, the prosecution pointed out that they took a picture of Mr. C with a bruise on his face before his death, and posted it on social media.
