A new feature is coming to Instagram soon.

The social network announced on Tuesday February 2 that it will soon be possible for a user to recover his deleted content to restore them, reports 01net.

“We know this is something people have been waiting for,” Instagram says on her blog.

The “Recently Deleted” function deployed by the platform owned by Facebook concerns both photos and reels as well as IGTV videos and stories.

Protection against hackers

In concrete terms, all deleted content will be kept for thirty days in a dedicated folder, with the exception of stories, which will only stay there for 24 hours.

Users wishing to restore them will only have to go to this location, to find them in the “Settings” tabs, then “Account”.

Access to the “Recently Deleted” folder, which functions as a computer recycle bin, will be protected.

One way to prevent hackers with access to an Instagram account to restore or permanently delete content without authorization.

According to our colleagues, a double authentication system could be set up on the application.
