The former lawmaker Chung Bong-ju, who was accused of being accused of being accused of refuting his alleged sexual harassment, was false.

Seoul High Court Criminal Section 6 (Director Judge Oh Seok-joon and Lee Jeong-hwan Sue-jin), today (27th) convicted Congressman Jeong, who was handed over to the trial on charges of innocence and defamation, for lack of evidence.

In 2018, when Pressian reported that he had sexually assaulted a reporter, he publicly refuted it as "a public scam, a red lie," and sued two reporters from the media.

Rep. Jeong withdrew all claims so far when his card payment records came out at the hotel designated as the place of harassment, but the prosecution reported that he had spread false information for the purpose of winning the Seoul Mayor's election, and violated the Public Officials Election Act, innocent, and defamed. It was handed over to trial on charges.

However, the court of the first trial decided that "the defendant made an effort to confirm his or her conduct on the day of the incident, so the intention of the crime is not recognized."

The appellate court said, "The premise of the prosecution is that even after knowing that the accused has sexually harassed the victim or committed similar acts, he tried to escape the situation by using some of the ambiguities in the media reports, but changed his position when the card payment record came out." He stated the reason for the sentence, saying, "The defendant's intention was judged that there was insufficient data to admit that this was done.

Right after the sentence, Congressman Jeong Jeon said, "I sincerely thank the court for trying to listen to the claims with an open heart and ears," and said, "I hope that the victim of the wrong'Me Too' will be the last one."
